Today we’re excited to launch Future List, a curated, elite list of top companies solving climate change.
Climate change threatens life on earth as we know it. Working to reverse climate change is deeply meaningful work. The severity and urgency of this threat also means there are enormous market opportunities inherent in addressing the problem across all sectors.
The challenge: for candidates interested in breaking into climate tech, it can be hard to find a fulfilling, rewarding job in the industry. It’s tough to pick out companies that are likely to have climate impact and equally difficult to identify companies that are likely to become successful businesses. It’s even harder to find companies that are both.
That’s why we created Future List: a shortlist of companies which are growing and hiring substantially and whose missions are aligned with leading research on how to limit global warming to 1.5C. Our only goal is to divert talent into climate change, and help people make climate impact while doing rewarding work.
Future List is curated by an independent coalition of climate technologists, engineers, environmentalists, investors, and recruiters. We vetted these companies as potential investors might: besides meeting the necessary requirement of alignment with the research, we identified companies with credible teams, viable and innovative technologies, and a plethora of open jobs. We don’t accept payment in exchange for a spot on Future List.
